An improving timber transport case study on the Rathad Mara and the Floating Piers.

Floating piers are making inaccessible coastal forests economically viable and taking lorry traffic off remote rural roads. This floating pier infrastructure at Glen Etive Estate, Kingairloch and Eilanreach Estate is projected to carry 1.1m tonnes of timber over 25 years.
