The fifth meeting of the National Forestry Stakeholder Group, 14 March 2023.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the development of a framework for increasing forestry’s contribution to the delivery of local community benefits and community wealth building.

The National Forestry Stakeholder Group met for a sixth occasion to:

  • consider the analysis of the consultation on the future of forestry grant support
  • discuss the report from Forest Research (commissioned by Scottish Forestry) on the carbon sequestration benefits of creating different types of woodlands

The meeting was chaired by Paul Lowe, interim Chief Executive of Scottish Forestry.
