This table summarises how forestry regulatory and grant support mechanisms will be managed through the transition to the new UKFS (2023).

Scenarios	Up to 30th Sept	From Oct 1st
New / in progress felling permissions	Assessed to UKFS (2017) if PR stage completed by 30th September.	Assessed to UKFS (2023) if PR stage is not completed before Oct 1st. Assessed to UKFS (2017) if PR stage completed before October 1st unless further consultation/ resubmission resubmitted. Eligibility criteria for WC FGS applications will be revised to meet the new UKFS (2023).
New / in progress forest plan (including 10-year updates)
New / in progress woodland creation application (PR)

Scenarios	Up to 30th Sept	From Oct 1st
New / in progress screening opinion (forest roads, deforestation, quarries)	Assessed to UKFS (2017) if submitted by 30th September	Assessed to UKFS (2023) if submitted from 1st October. UKFS (2017) continues to apply to submissions from before 1st October unless incomplete or requiring major alteration.
New / in progress woodland creation application (non-PR)
New FGS grant application (non-WC options)
SPHN restocking
New Small management plans or WIAT plans
