Economic research helps to build an evidence base on which to base policy and practice across England, Scotland and Wales, as well as internationally.  It has been subdivided into the following broad categories although some studies may cover more than one category.

  • Non-Market Values - non-marker costs and benefits of forests, such as recreation and biodiversity.

  • Economic Impacts - economic impact, e.g. in terms of employment and gross value added.
