Co-chomhairleachadh a’ tòiseachadh air Plana Gàidhlig

Thòisich Coilltearachd na h-Alba air a co-chomhairleachadh mu dhreach Plana Gàidhlig 2022-27.

’S e adhbhar a’ cho-chomhairleachaidh sia-seachdainean beachdan a shireadh bho gach neach aig a bheil ùidh ann an dè as urrainn do Choilltearachd na h-Alba a dhèanamh airson Gàidhlig a dhìon is a leasachadh.

Thuirt Àrd-Oifigear Coilltearachd na h-Alba, Dave Signorini:

“Tha àite cudromach is brìoghmhor aig a’ Ghàidhlig ann an cruth na tìre, nar cultar is nar dualchas.

“Dhuinne, chan fhaodadh a’ bhrìgh a bhith càil nas cudromaiche oir, aig a’ chridhe, tha ainmean litrichean aibidil na Gàidhlig stèidhichte air ainmean mòran de chraobhan dùthchasach na h-Alba.”

“Tha sinne ag iarraidh gu làidir gun coilean Coilltearachd na h-Alba ar pàirt ann a bhith ag àrdachadh inbhe, cleachdadh is ionnsachadh na Gàidhlig, an dà chuid gus amasan Bòrd na Gàidhlig adhartachadh agus gus cuideachadh le coileanadh Plana Nàiseanta na Gàidhlig.”

Cuidichidh beachdan a nochdas tron cho- chomhairleachadh cruth a chur air a’ Phlana, mus tèid e gu Bòrd na Gàidhlig airson aonta.

Crìochnachaidh an ùine co-chomhairleachaidh air 3 Òg-mhìos 2022 agus faodaidh neach sam bith a thogras beachd a chur air làrach-lìn Coilltearachd na h-Alba.

Consultation begins on Gaelic Language Plan

Scottish Forestry has launched its consultation on a draft Gaelic Language Plan 2022-27.

The purpose of the six week consultation is to seek views of all who have an interest in the role Scottish Forestry can play in the protection and development of the Gaelic language.

Scottish Forestry’s Chief Executive, Dave Signorini said:

“The Gaelic language plays an important and significant role in our landscape, our culture and our heritage.

“For us the significance could not be more relevant as, at its core, the names of the letters in the Gaelic alphabet are based on the names of many of Scotland’s native trees.

“We are committed to the role that Scottish Forestry can play in enhancing the status, usage and acquisition of Gaelic, both to further the aims of Bòrd na Gàidhlig and to assist in the delivery of the National Gaelic Plan.”

Views expressed during the consultation will help shape the final version of the Plan, before it is submitted to Bòrd na Gàidhlig for approval.

The consultation period ends on 3 June 2022 and anyone who wishes to provide views can do so via the Scottish Forestry website.
