What is the Open Data Portal?
Our Open Data Portal allows you to view, query and download a wide variety of geospatial data used within Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including:
• Scottish Forestry administrative boundaries
• Forestry Grant Scheme options and claims
• Forestry Grant Scheme target and eligibility areas
• plans and felling
• a range of surveys and inventories
Why use the Open Data Portal?
The portal gives you the opportunity to explore data in more detail than is possible in the Scottish Forestry Map Viewer.
To make the most of the Open Data Portal you'll need access to Geographic Information System (GIS) software. You can then visualise and analyse the data. You can also combine it with your own data or data you've sourced from other organisations.
