Scottish Forestry recognises that Gaelic is an important part of Scotland's heritage, national identity and cultural life. We are committed to helping ensure that Gaelic has a sustainable future in Scotland.

We have recently published our second Gaelic Language Plan, which sets out how we will:

  • use Gaelic in the operation of our core functions,
  • enable the use of Gaelic when communicating with the public and key partners, and
  • promote and develop Gaelic within the organisation.
