The UK left the European Union on 31 January 2020 and entered a transition period. That period is due to end on 31 December 2020. From 1 January 2021 a new relationship between the UK and the EU will begin and bring changes to forestry and the trading of wood and timber.

Further information on these changes can be accessed via EU Exit (Brexit) – what you need to know - mygov.scot and Forestry in Scotland after Brexit - mygov.scot.
