We’re looking for a Case Support Officer to join our South Conservancy Case Support team based in Selkirk.   

This is a varied role which plays a key part in providing support to both colleagues and stakeholders. It includes supporting the delivery of forest grants and felling permissions, maintaining accurate manual and electronic records, and general administration support.

Director of Finance | £73,853 - £81,741 | Full Time | Edinburgh  

Director of Finance is a newly created senior finance role, reporting to our Chief Executive Paul Lowe.   

You will demonstrate inspiring leadership to a team of 11 Finance, Procurement and Business Support professionals. You will develop productive relationships with Scottish Government Finance and policy officials, Ministers, Special Advisers and other external Agencies and Bodies in relation to spending reviews, budget allocations, management and performance.  You will also play a key role as part of the Scottish Forestry’s Senior Executive Team (SET) and Strategic Advisory Board, as well as providing updates and advice to our Audit and Assurance Committee.  You will be responsible for leading on financial governance and demonstrate sound judgement in relation to financial matters and managing risk. Encouraging innovation and creativity you will explore and secure opportunities for income generation and savings, supporting colleagues to do likewise.

Are you passionate about the environment and advancing sustainable economic practices? 

We are looking for an experienced Economist to join our Economics and Woodland Carbon Code team. You will lead the delivery of economic analysis in Scottish Forestry on forest policy and operations, with a particular focus on woodland creation. The post will appeal to an experienced economist, with knowledge or interest in natural resource management, who enjoys working with others and wishes to apply economics in practical policy and management settings.
