We are seeking an experienced Corporate Affairs Business Manager to play a key role in managing the organisation's engagement with Ministers, the Scottish Government and the Scottish Parliament.

Working within our Corporate Affairs and Communications team, you will:

  • coordinate the flow of sensitive and time-critical information, including:
    • ministerial commissions
    • correspondence
    • Parliamentary Questions
    • briefings
    • key corporate communications
  • act as a vital link between Scottish Forestry and:
    • Ministerial Private Offices
    • the Environment and Forestry Directorate
    • internal stakeholders
  • ensure accurate and timely responses are delivered

The role will also oversee Scottish Forestry's Information Request Team, ensuring effective management of Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) requests and supporting the agency's commitment to openness, transparency and compliance.

We are seeking an experienced professional with:

  • experience in government, corporate affairs, public policy or a related field
  • a strong understanding of government processes, such as correspondence, Parliamentary Questions, briefings and information requests
  • excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • sound judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to provide advice to senior leaders
  • experience building effective relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders

We are seeking an experienced User Researcher to join the Forestry Development team on a full-time basis (35 hours per week).

The post can be based at any Scottish Forestry office and operates on a hybrid working basis.

As a User Researcher, you will:

  • work across a multifunctional agency covering areas like digital, operational delivery, and policy
  • work with a range of stakeholders to bring user-centred design to the heart of what Scottish Forestry does
  • help shape our approach to future forestry grant support across Scotland

The successful candidate should be confident in developing and delivering research and effectively communicating results to a range of audiences.
